SOMEBODY HELP ME!!! This issue of overflogging tithe payment which seem to give extreme relevance to pastors is allready draining my spirituality. It is said that when the Israelites left egypt, God gave each tribes roles to play. The Levites were the priests who stayed in the temple and sanctuary all day long. They neva and were not to go into farming and so had nothing of their own. Bcoz of this, the God of order commanded that ten percent of their produce be given to the priests who had nothing of their own and anyone who fails to do so is said to be disobeying Godz comands. This was practiced by the apostles in the new testament in a more interesting fashion where they wuld sell their proprties and use together as one. The bible says in Acts that there was no poor among them coz all wealth blonged to everyone. Still remember Annanias and Saphira? Nowadays, pastors receive gifts, collects offerings, get services wtout paying, and wont stop hammering on how ppls blessings are tied on paying tithe. How many priests in the bible built univerties or monuments from ppls tithe. They ride the best cars, wear the best clothes, eat the best foods, live the best life and live Godz ppl feeling guilty for sowing these or that seed. When did mony bcom a mediator btw man and his creator. Pple hardly giv arms to the poor agen, bcoz the pastor wuld ask for seed, b4 dishing out special prayers tactically worth the amount. Tax is a borrowed concept from the idea of tithe, but when we pay tithe to the govt, they use it to make living better for the citizens. When we pay tithe, what do the pastors do with it. In those days, the missionaries gave their life for our salvation. Building missionary schools and giving us free education. Today, even missionary schools are more expensive than missionary schools. Pastors keep buying jets, and flaunt abt wit wealth, gathered from the pple, and when you com to the church feeling like the weight of the world is on your shoulder, they would rather go monetry rather than allowing God speak to us through them. They keep strugling to meet earthly targets, underminding heavenly mandates. I am not talking to any pastor, but we are distractin pple from that tru intimacy wit our maker. God also hav emotions and this is why he enjoys the praise and or worship that come from a heart wit deep affection for Him. Well, therez still so much to say but i just need help on these issues. Pastors are demanding too much lately, putting too much load on members like when Solomon wanted to build the temple. Men, am afraid pple are just being taught how to worship God through money now. Why has religion bcom so manipulative lately. I need u to help me understand coz am getting disillusioned here. Let me get ur constructive view
