SOMEONE JUST POSTED A INTERESTING POST THAT DIANA ROSS HAD NEVER WON A GRAMMY(however she was awarded a honorary lifetime achievement Grammy)Let me just say that I love Diana Ross and I think its a travesty she has never won a Grammy. Aside from all the gossip and all of the backbiting and talking about her over the years she has true talent. I say that because I do know music. No she doesnt have the voice of Patti or Mariah or Gladys night or anyone else ,she has Diana Rosss voice. And on that alone she deserves a Grammy. Good and great singers are actually a dime a dozen, just go to any black church and you will find them. Diana Ross was a trendsetter for her time..... I know I may take a little Heat For saying this but she was the Beyoncé of her singing era. Just in a slightly different way because shes not dipping it low lol.... But she did dance in her own way and she changed costumes a thousand times and she fully entertained us with all of that plus her singing and elegance to boot. Even though I have met her a couple of times I cant speak for her personally but I think its fair to say she like anyone else in the music industry would love to be recognized by the Grammy Association for her contribution to music whether she would declare that publicly or not. Record sales and download sales are excellent and would not be turned down by anyone I can think of but still its good to be recognized by your peers in the business.... And for that recognition, I guess the lifetime achievement Grammy will have to do.
