SOS!!! A certain LEON PINOON, brother of the late Alfredo G. Silvosa, (former teacher of then Urios College, High School Dept, Butuan City) is confined at the Agusan del Norte Provincial Hospital, admitted last August 9. He had an attack, was vomiting blood etc. His doctor is a certain Dr. Mary Grace Tero. Since his confinement, blood transfusion needs to be done. Dr. Tero ordered for 8 (?) bags and prescribed medicines. So my nephew & niece solicited for donor cards. But Leons condition was not any better so that Dr. Tero advised that he be transferred to a private hospital for endoscopy (correct spelling?). His wife & my niece told Dr. Tero na, puede doc dito na lang kasi wala kaming pera etc...(Leon is unemployed since the company he used to work with ay nagsara na) Lumapit na sila sa DSWD for assistance. May PhilHealth naman at sa PCSO-still on process. Meanwhile kailangan ng dugo and with the donor cards, they need to pay PH1,520 (?) for processing. Nagmakaawa na sa Red Cross at napagbigyan naman pero nitong huli, ayaw ng pumayag ang Red Cross na walang Ph 1, 520 per bag of blood. They have to wait until tomorrow kasi Sunday at walang office. LEON NEEDS endoscopy but since mababa ang hemoglobin niya ay hindi pa raw puede. Dapat ma stabilize muna before endoscopy could be had. Ang sabi is to determine cause ng bleeding. Am not sure how much endoscopy costs. Early this afternoon, Dr. Tero called my niece na pa discharge na raw talaga kasi ang hemoglobin ay bumaba na sa 4, from 6 at wala na raw siyang magawa, binigay na lahat ng medication na dapat. My niece told Dr. Tero, tapos doc kung atahein sa amin, ibalik na naman siya sa hospital? Diyan na lang doc. Ang buong akala ko ay discharge because okay na, HINDI PALA! Leon Pinoon is still breathing/BUHAY PA! TAMA BA NA FOR DISCHARGE KASI WALA NG MAGAWA SI DOC? I TOLD MY NIECE NA KUNG IPILIT DISCHARGE, PAPIRMAHIN SI DR. MAY GRACE TERO NG WAIVER?! This was related to me by my niece. Leon Pinoons wife is with him in the hospital for verification. Virginia Dalapo Pinoon. PLEASE, will somebody check this out. As of this posting, LEON PINOON IS STILL ALIVE BATTLING FOR SURVIVAL. THIS MAY ALSO SERVE AS A CALL FOR BETTER HEALTH CARE SERVICES IN CARAGA AND THE ENTIRE PHILIPPINES.
