SOUL CONNECT PROGRAM: ETOP RADIO 99:4FM WITH PETERSON MATEEKA 10:00PM:-1:00AM THHURSDAY-10TH-APRIL-2014 THE GIRL BEHIND THIS STORY TALKED TO SOUL CONNECT FACE TO FACE: AND REQUESTED HER IDENTITIES BE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL. THE WORD AFANDE HAS BEEN USED HERE TO MEAN A MALE ORGAN. Our Dad died still a young man and left mum a widow and two of us daughters without a son. There’s a big age difference of four years between my elder sister and me following her. Mum told us that it took them long to have the second child that’s me after my sister was born. As a result, if not told, one cannot tell that am the one following her directly. Mum also, as she was still a young woman later remarried a business man operating between Uganda and Juba .The uncle who was chosen by the clan to oversee our late father’s home ended up not relating well with mum. She later married a businessman operating between South Sudan and Uganda. They are living in another district quite far from home. After completing her course as a midwife, sister got married to a young man working with an NGO.They have a young child of two years. But I cannot tell whether the husband’s job is a well-paying one or not. The house they rent has a toilet and birth room inside, surrounded by a wall fence. My sister took me up to stay with her as I could not stay alone. Together with the husband, they contribute to paying my fees in a day school. Mum also struggles hard to assist me in various ways and I appreciate her for this. Sometimes my sister works at night for a whole week. Am home to prepare super and all the evening work. But her husband drinks after work. When he comes back, he normally leaves the motorcycle out. It’s always my responsibility to push it in the house, though with some difficulty. When my sister is off duty at night, the husband can sometimes call sister in the bedroom. And when she enters she will not come out. Even when am still clearing the dining table, they will start off with their things. Eventually they lose control of themselves in an erotic and audible manner. To a point that the whole house gets charged with all kinds of wheezing sounds as though the roof is about to blow off. Being a girl of my age in senior four, I have a clue about these things. I get confused and disturbed by the atmosphere in the house as my hair remains standing and takes me time to gather sleep. I chose to go to bed unprepared in attempt to escape the noise; but it will always follows me. This has been going on and on. But I cannot talk to my sister who’s much older than me about the kind of experience I go through because of the sensitivity of the matter. One day I asked her whether it was possible to take me to a boarding school, but she gave an excuse that her salary is not good enough to afford a boarding school. She also said she needed my assistance at home, cooking and looking after the child when she’s away. Recently my sister was again off duty. The husband came back at night drunk as usual. After supper he went to the bedroom and called her. She took time to go. He said I remember calling you here. She decided to go. They started talking in low tones, and after about five minutes, the wrestling started. But after about twenty minutes, her voice sounded a little abnormal from the one I had been hearing before. She struggled to bring out the words;, I have told you I don’t want again; that’s enough; you mean you now want to force me.It was like a real fight. Something told me sister was in danger. By instinct I just found myself storming into the bedroom only to find both of them completely naked; struggling violently. The man was on top with his Afande madly hovering over her belly like an angry serpent wanting to strike at the prey. His hand tightly in my sister’s neck. I pushed the husband off and she recovered her position. The man charged at me saying, if you are now getting involved in my bedroom secrets with your sister, then you will have to supplement where she fails. Sister intervened and said don’t slap the girl, calm down. I left the house that night and slept at the neighbor. The next day I boarded to mums place. My sister is now calling that please come back home, the matter is over. But I fear her husband might one day rape me.Soul connect, help advice.
