SOUTH VESTAL ROAD PROVIDES NEW ENTRY INTO BARKER SPORTS COMPLEX -- The newly completed leg of South Vestal Road provides another way to access to the Al & Jan Barker Sports Complex , this time from CR 700E on the south. Previously the sports fields could only be reached by car from US 40 to the north. Because the new road now stretches from US 40 to CR 700E, there are two entrance and exit points, which also provides an alternate north/south route to South Center Street, where traffic often backs up at the US 40 intersection during rush hour. A new single-lane roundabout on South Vestal also helps separate traffic going to the Department of Corrections, which is located to the west of the Barker Sports Complex.
