SP/PM Coordinator College of Osteopathic Medicine Marian University has an immediate opening in College of Osteopathic Medicine for an SP/PM Coordinator. This position provides administrative support for the Simulation Lab in the Evans Center. This person will manage, direct, and coordinate daily office functions and operation related to the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Exam) center within the Michael A. Evans Center for Health Sciences. This program supports the School of Nursing (SON) and College of Osteopathic Medicine (COM). Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: · Act as liaison to the contractor that supplies standardized patients and complete all necessary paperwork for director’s signature · Prepare for standardized patient encounters (e.g., scheduling standardized patients, room setup, materials management, etc.) · Maintain database for all standardized patient information; including case experience and training history · Run programs as needed; manage the timing, manage standardized patients for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students · Manage the Education Management Solutions (EMS) system for scheduling, setting up and recording OSCEs · Coordinate with contractor and Sim Lab Director the maintenance of SP management protocol · Schedule standardized patients, schedule students and prepare needed paperwork and create forms for additional Physician’s exercises in Clinical Education (OSCEs). · Coordinate with Sim Lab Director to provide data for program assessment to the Director of Education Development · Proctor exams and encounters as needed The ideal candidate will have: · Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of Marian University · A high school diploma; Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred · Has the ability to prioritize requests from multiple faculty · The ability to use knowledge of the faculty of SON and COM to answer questions from other departments in the University, the medical and business communities, and the general public. Is able to refer questions appropriately to others. · Outstanding professional skills in presenting a positive image of the College of Osteopathic Medicine to external audiences in person, via telephone and in email communications. · Is organized and able to work independently, but seeks direction when needed · Prior experience in managing SPs and SP programs preferred Located on 114 wooded acres six miles from downtown Indianapolis, Marian University is the only Catholic liberal arts university in Central Indiana dedicated to excellent teaching and learning in the Franciscan and liberal arts traditions.
