SPAGHETTI DINNER TO BENEFIT COUPLE INJURED IN MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT TRAILS END RESTAURANT - 2738 Forest Road, Cooksburg, PA MARCH 9, 2014 NOON UNTIL 6:00 PM DONATION AT THE DOOR CHINESE AUCTION Art and Dawn Kriebel were injured in early September in a tragic motorcycle accident. Both were wearing helmets but still sustained major injuries. Art (a 1987 North Clarion graduate) had a fractured pelvis that required two 8” screws, which isn’t healing and had to purchase a bone stimulator healing machine. Dawn had multiple skull fractures, a shattered heel, a fractured cheek bone and a cracked rib, was in a coma and was not expected to live. Art was off work for several months due to his injuries and only recently returned to light duty, and Dawn is still in a coma and needs 24-hour care. She also requires 11 prescription medications, and a few over-the-counter medications. She is fed through a costly peg tube feeding system. She has had recent surgery to remove fluid from the brain and has been hospitalized for unresolved seizure-like muscle spasms. The dinner is being held to help offset the healthcare costs and daily living expenses. Dawn’s mom, Ruth, is living with them to care for Dawn. Art is the son of Lee and Bonnie Kriebel of Lucinda. Art’s siblings are Bill Kriebel, Terry Hartle, Kathy Gatesman, Laurie Ditz, and Mark Kriebel, all local residents. If anyone cannot attend the fundraiser and would like to help the couple, donations can be mailed to Laurie Ditz FBO Art Kriebel, 309 Huefner Spring Road, Shippenville, PA 16254. For more information, call 814-354-2322 or 814-229-0379.
