SPD NEWS – DEATH INVESTIGATION UPDATE On January 11, 2015, at 4:19 pm, Officers responded to the 1200 block of Occidental Avenue on a report of a baby in a dumpster. When Officers arrived, they located a deceased human fetus in a dumpster that was located in the alley. Family Crimes Detectives responded for the investigation. Today an autopsy was performed and Detectives are now investigating this as a suspicious death. Detectives learned the fetus was developed for approximately 27 weeks and the gender was a girl. The Stockton Police Department is encouraging citizens to call if they have information pertaining to this investigation or knowledge of who the mother may be. Callers are asked to call the Stockton Police Department at (209) 937-8377, the Investigations Unit at (209) 937-8323, or Crime Stoppers at (209) 946-0600. Callers can remain anonymous. Citizens may also text information from their cell phones to ‘Crimes’ (274637) and type the keyword TIPSPD and then their tip or logon to the Stockton Police Department’s Facebook page and click ‘Submit A Tip’.
