SPEAKING IN TONGUES is NOT required. It is a gift just like the gift of prophecy. Not everyone has the same gifts. The Bible NEVER says or even hints at a requirement of speaking in tongues. It NEVER says it is the only evidence of receiving The Holy Ghost. People who teach that you MUST speak in tongues are deceived. Most of them dont even speak true tongues themselves. just gibberish. some of them are speaking real demonic tongues. i have heard demonic tongues. i have heard gibberish. i have heard TRUE speaking in tongues. i firmly believe in speaking in tongues IF you have been given that particular gift. We should not forbid TRUE speaking in tongues. But we should not allow the devil to have free reign in our assemblies via gibberish or demonic tongues nor deception. Most true Christians i know do NOT speak in tongues. The gift of prophecy is Greater than the gift of tongues. The Bible says so! Yet prophecy is also not required. We do NOT all have the same gifts. The Holy Ghost can be evidenced in love, prophecy, faith and many other gifts and talents and offices and fruits. THATS SCRIPTURAL. i would rather believe what the SCRIPTURE says rather than traditions of babylonic denominations of man. DISAGREE? i dare you to truly and sincerely seek the truth on this IN FASTING. Dont follow teachings of man. Dont follow tradition or local custom or what your mommy and daddy did. SEEK THE TRUTH IN FASTING.
