SPECIAL ANOINTING SUNDAY SERVICE TOPIC: PATHWAY TO A GLORIOUS LIFE IN 2015 TEXT: EXODUS 33: 18 DATE: 4TH JANUARY, 2015 SPEAKER: Rev.Dr.Joshua Talena This year 2015 was declared as our year of ‘”FROM GLORY TO GLORY” on the 1st of JAN 2015. The series of the theme Glory to Glory began and today, we are looking at an aspect of the series which is stated above as the PATHWAY TO A GLORIOUS LIFE IN 2015. A man can give anything just because of glory. No wonder politicians can do anything just to get that seat of power and can do anything to retain it with all his life just because of that glory of fame Glory is that rear privilege of what heaven has in summary. When Moses heard of this Glory he sorted for it and when Paul had a glimpse of this Glory, he cried out and said (THAT I MAY KNOW HIM) - Any day you understand his Glory you can do anything to get it - Any day you have an understanding of his Glory, you will make it your pursuit. It was this understanding that Moses had that made Moses to desire it. What is the Glory? - The Glory is the container of the riches of God and it is the massiveness of the abundance of his Glory. - The Glory of God is the Rheumatic revelation of the mightiness of God - The Glory is the overwhelming capability of his presence - The Glory is the revelation of goodness of God - The Glory is the character of the holiness of God - The Glory is the container of the Shekhinah presence of God. - The Glory is the untouchable of God ( His Glory makes it so impossible for you to touch God physically) - The Glory of God is the vengeance of JEHOVAH (if you carry his Glory no one can toil with your life because his Glory fights for you.) - It is his Glory that makes his fire pure - The Glory is the container of the fear of God - The Glory is the container of the defence of God - The Glory of God is the container of his divine intervention. ....................................GET THE CD FOR THE REMAINING POINTS - To enjoy Glory you must know the pathways to glory; They are ------------ 1. DESIRE - Prayer becomes ineffective without desire and the glory does not exist until there is a desire because it is your desire that brings down his Glory ( Exodus 33: 18-22) - Pursuit is the pathway to desire. - Pursuit is the proof of your desire. - Pursuit is the proof of your endurance - And commitment is the pathway to desire and when there is desire excuses are eliminated. It is that same desire that made Paul cried ----- “that I may know him”. Child of God, it is your HUNGER for God and ANGER against iniquity that establishes your desire for God. - Scarcity of desire is the cause for the shortage of his Glory - Your intensity of desire for God Glory will determine how far you will go with God this year 2015. - You must have an unquenchable desire for his Glory. As in (psalm 42:1) David cried for God’s Glory - You can’t see the face of God without your face shinning or situation changing. What kept Moses 40 days on the mountain was the same passion that kept Joshua.( (Exodus 33:11) Today, most people don’t want to associate with the passion but want the potion - Any day you want the potion you must go for the passion - Men who pursue God cannot struggle for GRACE. - You have to Pursue God to a point where God pursue after you - God cannot commit anything of eternal value to you if there is no desire. Today, make up your mind to desire the things of God. 2. FELLOWSHIP AND COMMUNION Any man who does not give himself to fellowship will lack the Glory TO BE FELLOWSHIPLESS IS TO BE GLORILESS - Glory is the outcome of fellowship. When a man fellowship with God he will surely experience the Glory of God. - When a man fellowship with God, he carries the true essence of God - It is fellowship with divinity that covers humanity 3. REFUSAL TO BE FAMILIAR WITH GOD Many believers today, feel they have know God so much to the extent that they take God for granted in spiritual issues. We are encouraged never to take spiritual things with laxity - Consciously avoid anything that will take you away from the presence of God or be so familiar with things of God. - Your familiarity with spiritual matters is what stops the Glory so to see his Glory, you must throw away familiarity. 4. THE STATE OF DEATH You must be dead to self in order to go up in every aspect of life to experience his Glory. (Exodus 33:20, John 3:30) - The decrease of self is the increase of his Glory ( John 12:20-24) - To see God you must die to self, sinful appetite, fleshy desires, pride, malice etc. - You can’t see his Glory if you are still alive to the flesh - Child of God you can see more Glory in death to the flesh than a live. ..............................TO BE CONTINUED...................................... I PROPHESY BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY GHOST NO POWER WILL BE ABLE TO STOP YOU THIS YEAR 2015 AND I DECREE YOU WILL HAVE A GLORIOUS LIFE IN JESUS NAME.................................. AMEN!!!
