Because the future of the harbour is of paramount interest to our members, we have invited Curtis Grad, the CEO of the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority as guest speaker at this months meeting. Since its creation in 2002, as a not-for-profit corporation, GVHA has re-invested more than $19.5 million in harbour assets, including those previously divested to GVHA by Transport Canada. GVHA’s property portfolio includes ownership of Ogden Point, Fisherman’s Wharf, the Causeway/Ship Point, and the Wharf & Johnson Street marinas, as well as leasehold interests in the Steamship Terminal and Mermaid Wharf. This is your opportunity to meet Mr. Grad and share any concerns you have with regard to various issues in the harbour.
