The National Weather Service in Tafuna has issued a High Surf Warning now in effect with wave and surf activity along south facing coastal shorelines of Tutuila, Aunu’u, Swains and Manu’a islands. The public is advised to take extra precaution and stay away from affected coastal shorelines. High swells, dangerous surf, strong rip currents and breaking waves may unexpectedly cause harm and/or wash over certain shoreline areas….fishing or wave watching along coastal areas are extremely dangerous and the public is advised to exercise extreme caution. The public is also advised to drive your vehicles with extra caution along affected coastal shoreline areas. A Small Craft Advisory is also in effect for all islands.
