SPECIAL WEATHER ANNOUNCEMENT 12/5/2014 @ 4:10 AM Ladies & Gentleman, I dont get concerned much.. so just to let you know.. things just got serious. Latest computer weather models have rolled out and once again continue to trend towards a moderate to strong Noreaster/Coastal Storm during the early half of next work week arriving as early as Monday the 8th or later by Tuesday evening or night. I wont be available this afternoon to give any updates, and since I feel this turned into a sensitive matter and that of course the NWS whom is relying on the worst wx model of all (the gfs), since they really are stuck in the 1950s still calling watches as a viable weather advisory that folks now a days dont really understand because the nws wants to sell us rolex watches apparently........ no seriously... nws its 2014 about to be 2015. Turn the watch advisory into a threat as proper wording. folks will (im sure), understand a tornado threat &/or warning better than a tornado watch &/or warning. Ok so I may have gotten off track here a bit... but again for good cause. This is suppose to be an official governmental program payed for via federal taxes. How long have I been ringing the bell on this upcoming storm? Has ANYONE heard ANYTHING from the official NWS yet on this storm (as of reading this)? Exactly.... thats kinda bad... stuck in the 1950s waiting for 3 days away of an upcoming weather event for them to sound the alarm.... this is why i was angry the last time and why im angry this time.... We have the technology already to give legitimate forecast calls and alerts/warnings/advisories FIVE (5) whole days out already... 5 days. Last but not least... Wxrisk needs to be commended because I will honestly say he is literally the first person to pick up on this storm even before I had seen its potential myself in the models... since Sunday the 30th of November he mentioned the potential of a noreaster for the 9th or 10th of December (exactly when this storm seems to arrive as of now), and even I, before looking at the latest models myself, completely shook it off and said yea right.. well yeahh he was rightt. So DT of wxrisk strikes again with some of the earliest forecasts/detection for possible big weather events in the future. I might not be able to give any further updates this afternoon on this particular storm. So give him a follow if you want some professional/expert weather updates (keep in mind he does mainly forecast for the mid-Atlantic regions but doesnt leave the Northeast out in the cold when big wx events occur). Wow.. that was a lot huh? Sorry guess I had to get that out about our failing american weather models and flawed weather warning system. My forecast for THIS weekend is up and im sure all already know its going to rain (unfortunately), but also the warning signs of a coming moderate to strong coastal storm is clearly up also, so now you folks already know. Who else to follow in case im not around to give updates? Meteorologist Joe Cioffi (hes local and trusted.. rarely are his forecasts wrong if ever). Please.. stay away from NY1... I still nominate them as having the worst weather updates/forecasts. Channel 2s (cbs), its alright.. ill give them a pass... oh and Mike Masco ABC Baltimore Meteorologist, but again note he also only does forecasting for the mid-Atlantic (Baltimore more specifically), but hes still excellent and every now and then gives clues or updates on what might be happening in the north eastern U.S. as well. Now before anyone starts calling me a hypocrite for basically slamming what may have seemed all meteorologists and the NWS... Well maybe.. but at the same time I really meant that over the top rant from last time... The forecasters I mentioned/tagged here are insanely good at what they do. Every other forecaster/met should learn a thing or two from these guys... because the rest of yall forecasters really do suck... We are strong in numbers folks. Like & Share with friends our future weather updates.. Lets get the good forecasting out and keep the revolution going. We want accurate forecasts at least 5 days out.
