SPECIMEN C (SICKLE) DESCRIPTION:This is a round and short wooden handle with a sharp curved and pointed metal blade and it is a simple farm tool. Uses: (1)Harvesting of cereals eg maize, wheat etc. (2)Harvesting of oil palm fruits. (3)Cutting forages for livestock. MAINTENANCE: (1) Should not be left lying on the farm. (2)Rub metal blades with grease/paint in order to prevent rusting. (3)Clean and dry after use. Specimen D (watering can) DESCRIPTION: this is a simple farm tool basically made up of metal with a stem covered by perforated metal sheet covering from which water is sprayed. PROPERTIES 1: It does not support erosion. 2: it can be used for moulding. 3: it does not support leaching. 4:its particles are fine powdery and smooth when dry. 5: it is heavy and difficult to cultivate. 6: it is not good for crop production. 7: it is poorly aerated. 8: it has hitlike poor spaces.
