SPENNYMOOR TOWN COUNCIL MEETING 28/10/2014 REPORT! Well the report is there is nothing to report except the meeting opened at 6.45pm and closed at 6.55pm – yes it lasted 10mins and that included 4 presentations! That got me thinking how much time is spent on STC meetings in a month? In September they had 6 meetings :- Date Type of Meeting Duration in Min 02/09/2014 Allotments 7 Finance & General Purposes 32 09/09/2014 Planning & Highways 2 Services & Amenities 41 23/09/2014 Full Town Council 40 30/09/2014 Special 2 Total 124 = 2hr 4min We pay over £1.2 million in extra DCC taxes per year to pay for STC which is equal to £100,000.00 per month! On that basis in September for our 124mins of Council meetings it cost the people of Spennymoor £806.45 PER MINUTE! Just an observation!
