SPIHS is now offering FREE ADMISSION to many of our Heritage sites for people living in Southern Israel; we welcome all to visit and get a nice change of pace! Among the many sites open is Gesher in the Valley of Springs… The Naharayim Experience at Old Gesher depicts Israeli ingenuity and presents the story of how pioneers took advantage of natural resources in building a hydroelectric plant on the Jordan and Yarmouk rivers. We welcome those from South Israel to visit and hear the history of the site, free of charge. In one of the pictures below we see Amir Peretz in front of the three bridges at Gesher. Peretz, who served as the Minister of Defense, played a vital part in the push for the development of the Iron Dome system, which has saved so many lives in the recent past.
