SPIRIT OF PRAISE But you O Lord will sit on your throne forever. Your fame will endure to every generation. You will arise and have mercy on Zion, and now is the time to pity her, now is the time you have promised to help. For your people love every stone in her walls and cherish even the dust in the streets. Then the nations will tremble before the Lord. The kings will tremble before his glory. For the Lord will rebuild Jerusalem. He will appear in his glory. He will listen to the prayers of the destitute. He will not reject their pleas. Psalm 102:12-17. Let this be a record for all future generations, so that people not yet born will praise the Lord. Tell them the Lord looked down to earth from heaven to hear the groans of the prisoners, to release those condemned to die. And so the Lords fame will be celebrated in Zion, and his praises in Jerusalem, where multitudes gather together and kingdoms come to worship. Psalm 102:18-22. WISDOM SPEAKS 7 When the wicked die, their hopes die with them, For they rely on their own feeble strength. 8 The Godly are rescued from trouble, And it falls on the wicked instead. 9 With their words, the godless destroy their friends, But knowledge will rescue the righteous. Proverbs 11:7-9. PRAISE FOR THE GREATEST EVENT Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said “I bring you good news that will bring joy to all people. The Savior ~yes the Messiah, the Lord ~has been born this day in Bethlehem, the city of David. Luke 2:9-12. The Good News! The greatest news! Jesus has come to all people. That anyone with a humble heart may come to accept him as; the Savior, the Messiah, and Lord! He accepts us as we are; offering us a new heart that will last forever, for all eternity. Let us shout glory to God and peace on earth to all whom God is pleased. Jesus parents were amazed at what was being said about him. Then Simeon blessed them saying to the baby’s mother. “This child is destined to cause many to fall, but he will be a joy to many others. He has been sent as a sign from God, but many will oppose him. As a result, the deepest thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your very soul. Luke 2:33-35. There is no neutral ground, with Jesus. We either accept him totally or reject him. There is simply; YES or No. When we decide to turn away from sin we have been given a road map to our new home. That road map is in the name of Jesus. When we turn to God and claim forgiveness in the name of Jesus, our GPS tracker will never get us lost. We will always find our way home.
