SPIRIT ,SOUL AND BODY And it came to pass that the beggar died,and was carried by the angels into Abrahams bosom; the rich man also died and was buried; and in hell he lift up his eyes in torments and seeth Abraham afarr off and Lazurus in his bosom. And he cried and said...cool my tongue Luke 16:22-24 One of the most misunderstood subjects in the bible is distinguishing the Spirit and Soul of man. The words spirit and soul are sometimes interchangeably used GENERICALLY to talk about that part of man which can not be seen.For example Genesis 2:7 says,And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. However there is a clear difference between the Spirit and Soul of man. Heb 4:12 says The word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword,piercing even to the divinding asunder of Soul and Spirit and if the joints and marrow and is a discener of the thought and intents of the heart. this verse is obviously reflecting that there is a difference. John 4:24 says God is a spirit.... it makes no sense to say that we are his children but we are souls. Heb 12:9 says God is father of spirits it does not say, father of souls. 1 John 4:17 says, As he is,so are we in this world If he is a spirit and we are souls how can we be his children? How can a dog give birth to a cow? Psalm 82:6 Actually says, I have said ye are gods and all of you are children of the most high. Human beings are so priceless because they are created after Gods likeness. Believe me,we are gods incased in physical bodies.Your body is not you. Our opening Scripture shows us how 2 men died on earth and were buried on earth but they opened their eyes in two different locations. I guarantee you, if you had opened the grave you would find their bodies there but the inward man was in some location. Now,THIS STORY ABOUT LAZURUS IS NOT A PARABLE.The mans body was buried on earth yet in hell he had eyes, he saw and could even feel pain, he had a mouth to talk and not only that he could remember his family on earth. How did these men get transported to that place, the bible says The beggar died, and WAS CARRIED BY THE ANGELS... Luke 16:22 The beggar is the spirit of man and the soul are all his reasonings and realm of emotion and consciousness. Eccl 9:5-6 says, ....but the dead know not anything,neither have they anymore a reward for the memory of them is forgotten...neither have they anymore a portion for ever in anything that is done under the sun. thats not a contradiction at all, the last part shows you he is relating with dealings UNDER THE SON. We cant contact the dead from this physical realm, the dead cant talk ,think or see yet we know that they are carried into some other realm where they do all that. If a man dies today, he will go to heaven or hell today. His body lies there useless but the real person,the spirit together with his reasonings are carried by either angels to heaven if he is a christian and by demons to hell if he is not saved. That happens immediately after death. When then and how is it there is judgement day.
