SPOILER ALERT SPOILER ALERT Monday 19th January It’s Mick’s birthday and Linda’s determined to have one last happy day with her family before she goes to the police to report Dean and his attack on her. However, Nancy and Lee are in no mood for celebrating as they become increasingly frustrated at Mick and Linda’s refusal to tell them what’s going on… The pair soon storm out, and as Mick goes to find them, Shirley arrives at The Vic with a birthday present for him. However, when Linda tells her to leave, Shirley insists she’s going nowhere. Shirley then tells Linda that she doesn’t believe the accusations she’s made against Dean, but when an upset Linda remains adamant that she’s telling the truth, Shirley leaves, but not before leaving the gift for Mick on the table. When Mick comes home, Linda tells him that they need to go and report the rape now, before she loses her nerve… Elsewhere, Charlie and Sharon desperately try to think of a way to get Phil out of prison, and later – when Sharon’s visit to Ritchie doesn’t help matters – Sharon tells Phil that they can’t tell the police the truth because they can’t leave the baby to grow up without his dad. But will Phil agree? Meanwhile, a hungover Stacey reluctantly agrees to go on a run with Shabnam, but when they bump into Kush, Shabnam pretends that she’s out of breath and unprepared for the upcoming marathon. Tuesday 20th January With Mick at her side, a nervous Linda goes to report the rape, but when the time comes for Linda to make her video statement alone, she panics… However, she finds the strength to go ahead as Mick promises to wait for her just outside. Meanwhile, back on the Square and with Linda’s words still in her mind, Shirley asks Dean to tell her exactly what happened that night, and although he’s angry at first when he thinks Shirley doesn’t believe him, Dean gives his mum his version of events, but will Shirley believe him? Back at the police station, Linda’s relieved when she finishes giving her statement, but as is comforted by Mick, she knows that she now has to tell her children the truth about what happened. Thursday 22nd January Linda and Mick head home to tell their children the truth about what happened with Dean, but they’re taken aback when they arrive at The Vic to find the family waiting upstairs having prepared a lunch to say goodbye to Sylvie before she goes into the care home. However, with Stan and Babe bickering, the occasion rapidly goes descends into chaos and a stressed Nancy snaps and demands to know the truth about what’s going on with her parents. But how will the family react when they hear about the rape? Later, Stan apologises to Cora for what happened at the dance, and her response gives Stan an idea. Alone with Sylvie that afternoon, Stan reminisces about the past and suggests they go to Bournemouth, which was where they spent their honeymoon. When Sylvie agrees, Stan pulls out Babe’s car keys and the two head out to the car. Meanwhile, Shirley’s determined to see Sylvie before she leaves and so heads to The Vic with Dean, but Stan tells them to stay away. As the day wears on, Shirley grows impatient and storms over to The Vic with Dean, but as they arrive, Lee sees Dean and immediately attacks him. As Mick struggles to get Lee off Dean, Babe notices Stan and Sylvie sneaking into her car. As she goes to stop them, Stan collapses… Elsewhere, Sharon updates Billy on how Phil’s case is going, and tells him they need to sell Phil’s car to raise some money. Over at The Arches later, Sharon’s puzzled to see the name has been changed to ‘Branning’s Autos’ and that Max is standing in the doorway. After Ben reveals the truth, Sharon heads to Max and tries to reason with him, but will she her words fall on deaf ears? Friday 23rd January The turmoil continues for the Carter family after Stan’s collapse, and as Dean and Mick help him back into The Vic, Mick warns Dean to leave, but he’s left livid when Dean says he’ll be back. As Dean goes, Nancy follows him and she too warns him to stay away. Upstairs at The Vic, Stan speaks to Shirley alone and tells her to fix everything, but despite know that her family’s falling apart, Shirley decides it’s time that Mick knew the truth about why she pretended to be his sister. As yet more dark secrets spill out, it looks as though the Carter family will be torn even further apart, particularly when Stan drops a bombshell on Mick and Tina.
