SPOILS OF WAR! The city burned 30,000 feet below, but that was the least of the first officers worries. The engines were nearly out of fuel, there was nowhere to safely land, and the captain had been missing for nearly four hours. Shortly after takeoff the captain became very sick and retreated to the lavatory soon after. Since then... nothing. The air marshal searched the entire aircraft from top to bottom, but had no luck locating the missing captain. What he did find was a really big mess in the lavatory. A black mess that smelled of corrosion and death. Just the faintest whiff of it sent the air marshal into a gut emptying good time. That part of the plane was quickly quarantined off and the first-class passengers were all reluctantly moved to coach. Since then the front of the plane had grown very quiet. The first officer sat there with only his thoughts to keep him company. Those thoughts did not comfort him. That was when he noticed it. The tips of his fingers had at some point changed to a dark purple. He held up one hand and stared at it. The purple turned black and began creeping to his knuckles right before his eyes. A cold sweat broke out all over his entire body. Something was wrong with him. He needed help. It was then that he decided it was time. He would land this bird one way or another. He had always done well with the crash-landing simulator and figured this could not be too much different. Could it? Sure, there were no landing lights or even a runway for that matter, but the city sat in flames and those flames were easy enough to see by. The highway was overcrowded, but there had to be a road somewhere. Right? With a tilt of the wheel he took the commercial airliner into a descent. 20,000 feet. 10,000. 5,000. The first officer was dead before the left wing clipped a building. His body was a black mess by the time the forward cabin detached from the rest of the plane and barreled its way through a nearby neighborhood. Amy Lynn Page, Christina Deth, John Higgins, Misty Mangan, Jared Hicks, and Brian White all had tickets for this flight. One of them did not make it to the airport on time however. If you are Amy Lynn Page, Christina Deth, John Higgins, Misty Mangan, Jared Hicks, or Brian White, be the first to private message me with the reason yoy missed the plane and you will receive a prize.
