SPRING 2014 at The Secret Garden: Folks who come to tour the Garden in the winter months when it is asleep, sometimes have a hard time picturing what this amazing living environment looks like when it springs back to life. Things literally pop up out of the ground here and there. Skeletal canes leaf out and roses the size of my hand explode amidst the protective thorns. The scents of perfumed freesia, jasmine and orange blossoms blend to fill with air at the whim of the prevailing breeze. Natures order is on display as butterflies, bees, robins, doves, lizards and frogs stake their claims, nest, pollinate and even with their droppings introduce new plant life into the ecosystem. I truly love my garden. It gives back to me much more than I put in to it. I am proud to share it with a thousand people who come here yearly for the love of a couple and leave falling in love with my Garden too!
