SPRING JAMBOREE ANNOUNCEMENT! *** SAVE THE DATE *** When: APRIL 26th from 10:30am to 1:30pm Where: Naperville Central HS Gymnasium Waifs & Strays Animals Rescue has been chosen as one charitys that will benefit from the SPRING JAMBOREE FUNDRAISER held through NAPERVILLE CENTRALS NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY. This honor comes after being nominated by one of our long time dedicated Jr Volunteers, Charlotte Hunt. Charlotte and her family have been long time volunteers after first becoming an adoptive family of one our special needs kitty, CHEESE. Charlotte and her family began to volunteer at the pet store, cleaning and caring for the animals within our rescue. Since our departure from the pet store and its duties, the Hunt family began fostering dogs and assisting in the adoption process. We have been blessed having such a wonderful family working with our rescued pets for the past several years. Please watch for up coming details, for now we would like to share the email we received announcing being chosen... Hi Laura, My name is Dan Olandese and I am a science teacher and National Honor Society sponsor at Naperville Central High School. For a few years now we have run a charity event called the Spring Jamboree which is an indoor carnival for young children and their families to have a fun day at our school and raise money for incredible organizations in our community. This year our membership had the opportunity to nominate charities that they felt could best utilize a donation from the proceeds raised by our event. I am happy to say that this year we selected two of the nominated charities and Waifs and Stray Rescue is one of those charities. You organization was nominated by one of your volunteers, Charlotte Hunt. Our event will be held on Saturday, April 26th from 10:30 to 1:30 at Naperville Central High School in the main gymnasium. This event is completely run by our Junior members and is a wonderful time for all the children who attend.
