SQUATTED CALVE RAISE -my designer exercise for calves (soleus muscle) and for those who feel uncomfortable in the bottom position of the full olympic squat. It teaches balance , how to use calves during the squat and helps to adjust the natural stance. And heres a little story about this particular video: -Month ago Shahin woke up with dead leg. It took him 30 minutes to even start feeling his own leg. Paralyzed leg is a scary perspective for a guy in his 20ties, who does his PhD and is about to get married in few weeks time. Well - its scary for anybody. He couldnt squat nor deadlift for a month. Until today i did some quick SOFT TISSUE TREATMENT, that took literally 5 minutes. (He is a quick responder eo not everybody can get results that fast)... Next stage - since the KNEE stopped aching straight away, I have asked him to give it a real life test , and SQUAT to the limit ;-) Now i figured out his tight calves were the main issue, despite OLYMPIC SHOES. The solution was to get their plasticity back through fatigue and the right body setup. He was scared/sceptical about every single weight 20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90 and finally 100kg. Not only he had his knee/leg useful again, but also for the first time in life i saw him doing SQUAT CORRECTLY, as you can see on the video. Try it out. Do 10-20 reps in progressive overloading, before you proceed with normal squats. Enjoy !
