SRI HANUMANJI GIVES RAMAS RING TO SITA. By Sri Pandit Anand Sukul, M.A. (Hindu Sanskriti Vedic Missionary) Shree Sita Devi Maa had never felt so desperate and lonely as she did now, and thought that she was suffering because she had unjustly accused the innocent Lakshmana. she wept bitterly and decided to end her life by hanging her self. Hanuman became furious with Ravana and the rakshasis for torturing sita. he was wise enough to know that Sita would naturally be suspicious of a stranger standing before her and think that it was a rakshasa in disguise. he parted the leaves of the tree so that Sita could see him when she looked up,then in a soft voice which only she could hear,Hanuman sang the entire story of Rama ..how he was married to the princess Sita, how rama was exiled to the forest for fourteen years by his mother, kaikeyi... how he had killed many rakshasas to help the sages.. how ravana had abducted his beloved wife Sita , by ordering mareecha to appear as a golden deer before her...and how he was still searching for his kidnapped wife. Sita looked all round to see who was singing such a beautiful song .no one was in sight so she looked up and saw a radiantly beautiful little monkey chanting the story of Rama. Hanuman leaped down the tree and bowed to her.Am I seeing Sita the beloved Goddess of Rama?he asked. Sri Rama has sent me here!Are you really from Sri Rama? Sita looked happy. I am Ramas servant and can assure you that he will come soon to Lanka with Lakshmana to rescue you.as proof that Rama had indeed sent him, Hanuman bowed again and reverently handed over Ramas signet ring to Sita. this finally convinced Sita that Rama had sent Hanuman. she wept with joy as she told Hanuman to convey to Rama her wish that he should come within two months which had been given to her by Ravana. Hanuman told I will go back at once and tell lord Rama that i have seen you. is there any token by which i can convince him that i really saw you and spoken to you?Sita took her choodamani or crown jewel and handed it to Hanuman. Rama will reconise this at onceshe said.Hanuman received the Jewel, bowed to her and left the asoka vana Aum Sri Rama Jaya Rama Jaya Rama.
