SRINAGAR 06-07-13:Strong ly denouncing statement of Omer Abdullah In which he had proclaimed that no restrictions were imposed against Syed Ali Geelani and he is free to venture where ever he wishes. Hurriyat Conference while terming the statement ridiculous, shameful and blatant lie and added that Syed Ali Geelani after his arrival from Delhi on 7th march is virtually detained in his house and added that gown about Omer Abdullah had claimed that he is free ,was purchased in year 2011 when Syed Ali Geelani gave a slip to police.Commenti ng over the statement published in local English paper Hurriyat spokesman Ayaz Akbar said that Omer Abdullah is issuing irresponsible statement and added the contents about Syed Ali Geelani are unfounded and baseless. He is lying while pointing to statement of Omer Abdullah and added he is making deliberate attempts to give the wrong impression and mislead people. In his comments, spokesman while disagreeing with the claims made by Omer Abdullah and refuted his statement saying that he cannot provide any evidence in support of his claim that he has directed police to allow Syed Ali Geelani to perform normal activities and offer Friday praryrs.Spokesm an said that Syed Ali Geelani is under continues detention at his residence since he returned from Delhi on 7th March and added since then it is 18th Friday in a row that he has not been allowed to offer Friday prayrs.Spokesma n said that police is keeping strict vigil round the clock and as a routine on each Friday the number of police personnel’s is being increased .Spokesman while strongly criticizing the lame excuse presented by administration that Syed Ali Geelani is being prevented because he provokes the youth for stone pelting. Spokesman claimed that youth are worst sufferers and it is the circumstances created by occupant forces and peace and tranquility was trampled when youth demonstrate their resentment against this forced occupation .While recalling the history spokesman reminded Omer Abdullah that stone pelting is the symbol of resistance for youth and since when his grandfather was leading the people and striving for self determination . Spokesman said that there is nothing new even it was Bakhshi Gh Mohamad who justified the detention of Sheikh Mohamad Abdullah and added that it was why Sheikh Mohammad Abdulah and his followers called him a traitor. History repeats itself , said spokesman and added ,it was Bakhshi Gh Mohammad whom you as traitor and now is your turn and you figure in the same category of traitor added spokesman .
