SRINAGAR, JULY 01: Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani while termingthe statement issued by forces as ridiculous said thatsuch announcements are being made to quell anger and pacify the aggravated sentiments of people andadded that authorities are not sincereand no probe would be initiated nor punishment will be awarded to perpetrators. Syed Ali Geelani while in his appeal has asked people to organise protest demonstration after Friday prayers against the brutal killings of youth and on 3rd July people from District Ganderbal&Bandipora wouldorganise protest rally towards Kondabal and Markandal villages. Hurriyat ( G) Spokesman AyazAkbar told Sach News in a Press Statement that Geelani Sahab has said that"Administration and forces after everysuch incident come with illogical statements and express sorrow and grief"Geelani said and added that now it has becomea routine process for them tomake tall claims with respect to investigations and latter the case file is hushed up, neither accused is put on trial nor punished for the crime. Forces are not accountable for their evil deeds and under the garb of AFSPA they enjoy impunity and authorised to kill any Kashmiri and go unaccounted for the crime they commit. Syed Ali Geelani categorically stated that state administration is equally responsible for brutal killingsof innocent Kashmiris and they won’t go unaccounted for this and added OmerAbdullah, as chief of Unified Command Council, bestow awards and rewards to those personals involved in these killings."Omar Abdullah and other leaders ofthe state are not in a position to take action against killers"and added however after such incidentsthey would have only one option to act and added it is to regard their conscience and resign .Their resignationcoul d send a message to the world that really something wrong is happening in Kashmir."Syed Ali Geelani said thatwe cannot stay silent over brutal killings andadded but we can protestagainst state terrorism. Geelani added that like prayer and fasting thecombat against the injustice and tyranny is obligatory for all Muslims. Hurriyat Chairman urged organizations working for human rights for their cognizance and asked to take notice of civilian killings and stressed to make India accountable for its suppressive and repressive measures in Kashmir.
