SRINAGAR, July 08: The Addl. Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed, J&K, Mr S.M Sahai and IGP Armed, Kashmir, Mr Sunil Kumar, today decorated Mr Bashir Ahmad Khan, Commandant JKAP 13th Battalion and Mr Abdul Rashid Bhat, Commandant IRP 20th battalion with SSP ranks in a piping ceremony held at Armed Police Headquarters (APHQ) Srinagar. Both the officers have completed fifteen years of gazetted service in J&K Police and are entitled to wear the SSP ranks. Mr Bashir Ahmad Khan has served in various capacities during his thirty two year service in J&K Police department which include SP Bandipora, SP Anantnag, SP Awantipora and SP North Srinagar city. Mr Ab Rashid Bhat, presently posted as commandant IRP 20th Bn. has earlier served as SP Anti-Hijacking Srinagar Airport, SP Headquarters Srinagar and Commandant JKAP 11th Bn. Mr Sahai while congratulating the officers urged upon them to work for betterment of the society and that of the organization and the Nation too. He said that the Police shall always deliver services ensuring quick disposal of routine assignments and perform up to the expectations of Public and senior officers. He wished the officers smooth sailing and a path full of blessings in future. Among others the piping was attended by Mr Mushtaq Mohammad Sadiq, DIG Armed Kashmir and Mr Zahid Naseem Manhas, Staff officer to ADGP Armed.
