SS Lesson Summary – Sun. “Accountability” Praise (1 Minute) SDAH 537 He Leadeth Me He laeadeth me: O blessed thought! O words with heavenly comfort fraught! What’er I do, where’er I be, still ’tis God’s hand that leadeth me. Study (3 Mins.) James 3:1 “My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.” Teachers have huge accountability. What they say and do shapes and influences the minds of the students. They teach us “truth” prepares us for life in this world. The challenge with modern day teachers is that many do not hold the true wisdom which comes from God (Prov 9:10), therefore, as a result, there is no dependence on God, and most of the facts that are taught are independent from Him, squeezing our faith further away from God. Though the influence gives success in this world, there is failure for the world to come! My question that I have for us today is who are we allowing to truly mould our characters? Are we letting science take place of God in our life? Is our faith being replaced by rationality? Further, who are we influencing? Are we teaching our next generations to abandon faith in God, through the way we live right now? Prayer: God’s help to become accountable in our influence to others through what we teach and ensure that we are not getting influenced by our teachers to draw away from God!
