SSU vs TUKS If SSU cannot bounce back at the expense of struggling neighbours, TUKS, when the two clash in a PSL derby tonight, I would doubt the shrewdness of Cavin Johnson as a coach. Since he took over the reins at SSU as head coach at the beginning of the season, SSU has lost its spark. On the hand his former team, Platinum Stars, is riding the crest of a wave under his former assistant, Allan Freeze, by winning two silverwares which is something he (Cavin Johnson) failed to accomplish while still coaching Dikwena. Although SSU has some key players on the injury list, the teams still has playing personnel to dispose of Tuks. Tuks is really struggling this season and personally I doubt if this team will make it to the Top 8 this season. The fact that Tuks has not won or scored a goal in seven away matches in the first round attests to this. Presumably this implies that Tuks are poor travellers. SSU reinforced its side with the acquisition of Lebogang Manyama and Dino Ndlovu respectively while Tuks could only sign former Leopards midfield maestro, Raymond Monama, from neighbours, Sundowns, on loan. Since this is a derby, sparks are set to fly. SSU needs point to improve its position on the log while Tuks desperately needs points to avoid going in the relegation quagmire.
