Castries, Aug 10 (Prensa Latina) The minister of Public Service, Sustainable Development, Science and Technology of Saint Lucia, James Fletcher, warned the Caribbean nations on the threat of climate change. During a speech at a meeting of the regional committee on the topic, Fletcher urged to take immediate measures to avoid greater damage. While for others, climate change is an abstract concept, for the Caribbean it is a matter of life or death. Due to our geography and socio-economic conditions, we will be the most affected by droughts and hurricanes, he stated.
