STAFF HIGHLIGHT Do you know the Rozeans? Maybe you know Pastor Eric as The Professor and his wife as the one who greats you and knows everything about Childrens church? Eric and Shelley Rozean – Children’s Ministries Pastors History: I grew up in Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. Shelley was a Missourian from birth. We met at a church where I was on staff after our college years. We have four children and have served in ministry mostly working with children and Christian education ministries for 19 years prior to moving to Kearney in 2006. We also owned and operated a construction business for 12 years. Shelley taught in the public schools prior to being a full-time mom. After moving to Nebraska, she returned to work in the public schools for five years, and in 2011 accepted the position of Sonshine World Daycare director at New Life. Interest: We are very committed to family and friends. We spend a lot of time chasing our kids around to their many activities. We love encouraging families to grow closer to God. We are huge fans of the Kansas City Chiefs and college football. Fun Fact: My kids say my biggest hobby at home is sleeping; I’m working to change that “hobby.” I enjoy working on our house and yard. I’m always looking for crazy science gadgets. My main contribution at home is to open pickle jars and kill spiders. Shelley loves to cook, watch movies, play softball, read classic novels and occasionally knit. Final Thoughts: We want to make a difference to the next generation so that their love for God will continue to thrive into the future.
