STAFF SPOTLIGHT: CHRIS GOODLET Position: Skydiving Instructor, Jumpmaster & Coach First jump: 1989 Number of jumps: about 500 Time in the sport: 7 years License: B CoP Ratings: Coach 1, Jumpmaster, Ground control instructor, Skydiving school instructor. What or who prompted you to start skydiving? I Always had a taste for adrenaline. On my 40th birthday I returned to the sport with a gift certificate from friends and just fell in love with it again. How would you describe your first jump? Scary but exhilarating. It was in February, under a round canopy. Have you faced any challenges in this sport and if so how did you squash them? Being a single parent has posed some challenges, both financially and time wise. There are always solutions to money issues, but time is harder to manage. The skydiving community is very embracing and every one was so supportive with my son, allowing me the opportunity to continue my progression and have him with me at the DZ. Whats the best piece of advice you would give to a student that is just starting out? Listen lots, ask questions and research the answers..... Oh ya, trust the arch. If you were forced to dress up as a superhero for a jump, who would you be? Spiderman.....haha. Not likely, Im scared of spiders.
