STAND FIRM In order to fulfill God’s purpose for us, we need to be sure to put on the armor of God so we are able to resist the devil. We can’t be who God wants us to be on our own. We can’t live right for God without putting good into our minds and bodies which is His word and allowing the Holy Spirit to work through us. We have to be prepared both inside and out to follow through living on purpose for God. We have to be strong and stand firm against evil. And we can’t do that without God. Ephesians 6:10-11 “A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.” (NLT) Dear Lord, we pray today You will show us how to prepare mentally and physically to live completely for You. We know we can’t just jump right in and be ready. We know there is preparation for us which involves building a relationship with You. When we know Your word, we will be able to use it against the devil. When we set the example by living as You want us to live, we will be able to lead others to You. When we trust and depend completely on You, we will be able to have the strength You want us to have to succeed in living on purpose for You. Help us to do Your will today, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
