STANDARDS (not transmissions, lol) A lot of people (even some Christians), want to know why my wife wears skirts or dresses all the time and never pants, why she doesnt cut her hair, why I dont let my hair get long, why she doesnt wear make-up, why I dont wear shorts, why we dont wear jewelry other than a wedding band, why we dont attend secular events... why do we devote ourselves to such a strict religion? The best answer I can give is: we dont devote ourselves to a religion, we devote ourselves to following our Lord and Savior, and obeying the Word of God... ALL the Word, word by word, line by line, precept upon precept. I see and hear so much about if you love God all that stuff dont matter, all that was for a different people, in a different time. I say it does matter, God is the same; yesterday, today and forever. His Word is set in Heaven and is unchanging. Does not Scripture tell us that Jesus Himself said that we must keep ALL His Commandments! 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15 (KJV) 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. John 14:21 (KJV) 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Fathers commandments, and abide in his love. John 15:10 (KJV) Read the Bible, as my Pastor says (my favorite quote, I think, of all time), Read your Bible it is a fascinating book. Dont only follow what fits your life but strive to make your life follow ALL of it. No, Holiness standards arent in the 10 commandments, but they are commandments from God. If you read the Bible, there are over 610 commandments in there (not just 10)!
