** STANDING STRONG TOGETHER AWARD** Every year the RACGP National Faculty of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health awards the Standing Strong Together Award to provide recognition for partnerships between GPs and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people or community groups working together to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The Award is made to any Fellow or member of the RACGP and any Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person or community group who have worked together to produce substantial outcomes in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. The Award will be for a total of $5000 to be used for the purposes of providing an educational opportunity for the recipients or to continue their work. The Award winner will be announced at the RACGP’s annual conference, GP14, held in Adelaide in October 2014.
