STARCOM NETWORK NEWS UPDATE: A postman and an alleged female accomplice are facing multiple charges accused of stealing pension cheques. POLICE STATEMENT: POSTMAN AND A WOMAN CHARGED WITH FRAUD AND OTHER OFFENCES Police have arrested and formally charged the following persons for multiple counts of fraud and other offences. • Roslyn Alleyne, 36 years of Ruby, St. Philip, received the following charges: 1. 26 counts of Uttering a forged instrument; 2. 10 counts of Attempting to obtain on a forged instrument; 3. 16 count of Obtaining money on a forged instrument; and 4. 1 count of Going equip. • Dwayne Omar Brathwaite, 30 years, of Eckstein Village, Black Rock, St Michael, received the following charges: 1. 17 counts of Putting off on a forged instrument; 2. 10 counts of Attempting to obtain on a forged instrument; and 3. 5 count of Obtaining money on a forged instrument. Brathwaite, a Postman at the St. George Post Office, is accused of stealing a number of pension cheques sometime between December 2014 and January 2015. Roslyn Alleyne received the stolen cheques and presented them to a business establishment where they were cashed. Alleyne and Brathwaite are expected to appear at the District A Magistrates Court on Saturday January 24, 2015.
