STARLIGHT ANGELS S.A.S.S. UPDATE 10/12/2014 *************************************************************** (Next SASS ... October 19th) On October 5th, Team Metatron (Ramona, Nellene and Jerri... Fran, in spirit) came together for our FORTIETH (40th) SASS!!! !!!A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR SUPPORTERS... YOU ARE A BLESSING TO THE WORLD!!! Our stops this day included: MLK & Nebraska - 2 women MLK & I-275 - 5 women & 4 men MLK & Armenia - 1 woman & 2 men MLK & Habana - 1 man Sligh & Armenia - 1 women & 1 man (+1 x-tra) Busch & Armenia - 4 men (+1 x-tra) Busch & Florida - 5 men (+ 2 x-tra) Home Depot Parking Lot - 1 woman & 9 men 40 FULL MEALS Homemade meatloaf Homemade mashed potatoes w/ gravy Mixed vegetables Homemade biscuits/muffins Pudding Banana Cold Water 40 HYGIENE KITS Socks, plus various combinations of other toiletries (i.e., razors, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, combs, etc) Sun screen lotion & aloe vera gel ... YEA!!! (Thanks, Rev. Harry !!) Thoughts and Reflections... We had just made our second stop. There she was... I call her Little Mama. She sees us, waves her hand high in the air, and crosses to give hugs. She points to her boyfriend, who has been sick for weeks. Shes been bringing him a meal each week... but this week, he was there is person. She brought me over to introduce me to Giovani and then goes back to her corner. When Im walking away, I hear the words starlight angles. I turn around... and there is Little Mama explaining to someone in a car who is asking about us. The person in the car spots me, shakes his head up and down, and gives a thumbs up...lol. One woman (weve been sharing with her for a few weeks now) is in a motorized wheel chair. I see her chair zooming through the gas station parking lot. She wanted a meal to take to a woman on the other side of the freeway that we didnt see. I believe she wanted to be a part of sharing... She was so happy and excited to do this for her friend. . I keep saying it over... and over... and over again, and truly believe that we are hard wired to LOVE each other and take care of each other. It is NOT in our true nature to be cruel and harbor ill feelings and hatred towards each other. Before we leave this stop, 3 other people are asking for meals. When we get ready to leave, Giovani looks at me with a big smile and gives two thumbs up... lol. Bless his heart...its clear that he has a health issue. Please send prayers for Giovanni for support in health. Every single spirit that we serve in Love is special. When they are not seen, they are missed. I miss not seeing them or sharing some sort of exchange with them. I shared with little Ali how she helps me each time I see her. I told her that she was an inspiration to me... because she keeps moving through her stuff, no matter what comes, she moves through it and is still standing. We must all understand that sometimes the greatest blessing that one can give to another is to just BE... just EXIST... just SHINE. We should ALL let our lights shine!!!... youtube/watch?v=mIJibijXhbg Our last stop was a very special one. We havent been able to make it to the end of our initial route in at least 2 months. This week, we did not make it to our Waters/Florida stop either. We felt compelled to stop at the Home Depot, which we did a few weeks ago. It is on our route, but not a regular stop. In any case, we were able to share the meals, a couple of sleeping bags, a blanket, some hats & visors, and some clothes. One of them could not stop hugging me and thanking me for the sleeping bag and blanket. IF each of them only realized how special they are... what a blessing they are...
