STARSKY AND HUTCH Starsky and Hutch (English: Starsky and Hutch) was a popular American television series of the 1970s. Created by William Blinn and equipment between April 30 1975 and May 15, 1979 on ABC. It was directed by Jack Starrett (under the name of Claude Ennis Starrett Jr.). Argument The protagonists were two California police officers, tan and beefy blond David Starsky and Kenneth Hutch Hutchinson be a more intellectual type of police. They were known for driving a fast and distinctive Ford Torino, painted red with a long white strip, owned by Starsky (Hutch has an old car and sometimes refers to the car as Starsky striped tomato). Their leader was Captain Harold Dobey and his contact in the underworld was a flamboyant black man nicknamed Huggy Bear. A quarter century after he left television, the series was the inspiration for the movie Starsky & Hutch, made in 2004 and starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson, Carmen Electra addition and rapper Snoop Dogg playing Huggy Bear ..
