START RELIGIOUS RANT about some people I see everyday!! I always find it funny that I see the exact same three people outside the pregnancy center by my house and it makes me laugh because Ive yet to meet someone who follows Christianity to the fullest,everyone now calls themselves religious or Christian but they pick and choose what they wanna follow or believe and I find that ridiculous. If you claim to live by the morals of the bible but when you hear a passage saying that genocide or slavery is permitted by your god theyll most likely say that youd have to take into account the society of the time is was written. By doing that your essentially admitting that morality has evolved since then. In which at that point you have no reason to accept any moral advice from that book, as youve pretty much admitted that your morality has evolved into a better sense of morality that the one presented in the bible. So when a text says you should slay every atheist,blasphemer or heathen you come upon and you dont, then you lose every right to use that book to justify your bigotry,misogymy and other hateful behavior. So by doing that You DONT get to say that gays are abominations any longer You DONT get to treat women as inferior to males You DONT get to mistreat or enslave foreigners You DONT get to pretend to be better or know any better than anyone else.. You DONT get to judge or impede peoples desicions in their own life In my opinion taking moral lessons from a millennia old text is like taking medical advice from and alchemist.. 😒
