STARTING OF KYAUKPHYU – CHINA GAS PIPELINE TRANSPORTATION IN JULY UNCERTAIN Posted on June 27, 2013 by Myitmakha Although Shwe Gas Project, invested by Myanmar’s Ministry of Energy and companies from China, Korea and India has planned to freight 12 billion cubic meter of natural gas a year through the pipeline to China, piping it during July is still uncertain due to technical problems, according to Daewoo Company, a partnership of CNPC in Kyaukphyu. When gas from the main rig in the sea had been initially sent to the gas refiner, it failed because of some technical difficulties, said a technician from Korea refiner in Kyaukphyu.
