STATE LEGISLATORS’ HISTORIC “ROUND TABLE” - BI-PARTISAN - Article V “Sovereignty Amendment Convention” - National Radio Broadcast 8:00 PM EST, 4/29/14 Tuesday Subject: The Sovereignty Amendment: “Section 1. affirm and secure the sovereign authority of United States citizens; the United States Constitution; the governments of the Several States; and the government of the United States. Section 2. To secure the inherent sovereign rights of citizens of the United States the following requirements shall be met: . . . “ We will be discussing each Step in the Sovereignty Amendment Convention process: 1) Applications, 2) Pre-approved Countermand Amendment text, 3) Delegate Resolutions, 4) Convention deliberations and 5) Ratifications. We will be showing why Article V does not authorize Constitutional (Open) Conventions, but rather Amendment Conventions to propose Amendments. Article V does not allow the States to diminish the supremacy of the Constitution to protect our individual liberties and States Rights.
