STATEMENT FROM DARRYL MORIN, LULAC NATIONAL VP-MIDWEST. To our Midwest Membership, I wish to thank you for your continued efforts to serve our community. From the efforts LULAC is leading to bring immigrant children to Iowa, to the health Fair being planned by our councils in Ohio, to the Fiesta being scheduled in Wisconsin, to the immigration reform drive in Kansas, and the scholarships being awarded in Illinois and across the Midwest I say Thank you! I write to inform you that a LULAC National Executive Committee meeting is being held this weekend in Washington, D.C. We will be meeting to discuss the troubling events that occurred at the end of what otherwise was an outstanding and inspiring LULAC National Convention. As I have done and will continue to do, I will forward updates to all LULAC Midwest State Directors, they in turn are providing it to all council presidents in their respective states.
