The Center for Dynamic Learning is looking for STEAMM Education Teaching Specialists to help teach several youth programs. Well qualified candidates must have an understanding or background in youth development, be a self-starter, motivated, organized, responsible, and enjoy working with children and families. STEAMM Teaching Specialists should have a strong background in science, preferably an in mechanical, chemical, or structural engineering. Additionally, well qualified candidates should have a background and training in Solid Works, Inventor and Pro E, and mechanical fabrication. Experience in or willingness to learn the following is strongly encouraged: MIG, TIG, and ARC welding, plastic, glass and metal forming, engineering machine operation such as lathes, milling machines, stamping, EDM wire machine and extrusion molding, and epoxy, urethane and silicone formulations. Computer literacy, classroom management skills, and schedule flexibility are strongly encouraged. Reliable transportation is required. College experience and/or degree preferred. The ideal candidate will be willing to work for 3 years with opportunities for advancement within the organization. The current position available is for half-time hours. Pending grant funding, the opportunity for full-time work may be available in the near future. Hours range from 8-15 weekly, depending on the assigned teaching schedule. Some mornings (9am-Noon) Mid-afternoons (3pm-5pm) and some evenings required. All candidates must have strong understanding of the nonprofit sector and the demands of working in a mission driven environment. Current positions available are seasonally based, and for the right people, opportunities for growth and expansion within the company are available. Compensation: $10-14 per hour based on experience.
