STEPPING INTO THE HIGHWAY OF HOLINESS TO OUR HEAVENLY HOME: Isaiah.35:8-10. And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein. No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up there on, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. There is a home that is far better than any home on earth. It is our heavenly home. A place where there is no death, no pain, no sorrow, no suffering, no sickness, no Satan, no darkness and evil powers. It is a place of peace, joy, fellowship, happiness, health and the street of it is made up of gold. This heavenly home is called my father’s house by our Lord Jesus Christ. John.14:1-3. Abraham called it the city that has foundation built by God and also called it heavenly country. Hebrews.11:10, 14-16. David called it the hill and the tabernacle of the Lord. Ps.15:1. Ps.24:3-4. To get to this heavenly home there is a highway to follow. Isaiah.35:8. THE SEARCH FOR THE WAY: Jer.6:16. Pro.14:12, 14. Ps.1:1-3. Ps.146:9. Pr.4:14. Pro.9:6. Mt.7:13. If we have any desire to get to this heavenly city there are ways we must avoid. (1) The way of backsliders. (2) The way of the world. (3) The way of sinners. (4) The way of evil men. (5) The way of wickedness. (6) The way of unrighteousness. (7) The way of the rebellious. (8) The way of immorality. (9) The way of pleasure. (10) The broadways and the way of drunkenness. There is need to repent and come out of these destructive ways and come into the highway. This is the way of: (1) Salvation and freedom from sin. Acts.16:17. (2) The way of sanctification and peace of God in your heart. Luke.1:74-79. Philip.4:8. (3) The way of separation from the world and remaining in the truth. Ps.119:30. (4) The way of holiness and daily righteousness. Isaiah.35:8. Pro.8:20. Ps.12:28. (5) The way of uprightness and faithfulness. Pro.16:17. (6) The narrow way through the narrow gate. Mt.7:13-14. The summary is Jesus Christ who is the way, the Truth and Life. John.14:6. THE SAINTLY LIFE IN THE WAY: Isaiah.35:8-10. Luke.1:70-79. Eph.5:1-8, 25-27. Ps.15:1-6. Ps.24:3-4. Rev.21:4-8, 27. 1John.3:1-3. The people that will enter into heaven must live a saintly life on their way to heaven. The life of holiness and righteousness is an indispensible life that every pilgrim on their way to heaven must possess and practice. When we talk of saintliness we are talking about: S-Separation from the world and steadfast in faith. A-Abiding in Christ and in the truth: I-Integrity and innocence in conduct. N-Nobility and none conformity: T-Truthfulness and trustworthiness. L-Love and longsuffering: I-Intercession and interest in heavenly things. N-Newness in character: E-Endurance and earnestly contending for the faith once delivered unto the saints. S-Submission and sacrifice: S-Service and sincerity. The saints are the only people that will get to heaven at last, no sinner or backslider will enter there. STEADFASTNESS IN THE WAY: Isaiah.35:8-10. Job.17:9. Ps.111:8. 1Cor.16:13. Gal.5:1. Philip.1:27-29. Philip.4:1. 1Thess.3:8. 2Thess.2:15-17. 1Cor.15:58. Because of trails, temptations, persecutions and oppositions against those on the highway to the heavenly city there is need for us to be steadfast in holiness and righteousness. Rom.8:35-39. There will be lots of things that will want to pull you back to the world and want you to backslide, but you must make up your mind to hold fast to the end. (1) Be determined never to look back. (2) Be discipline and have self control. (3) Be devoted to the Lord and his word. (4) Disassociate yourself from the unserious Christians and ministers. (5) Be dogged in faith and in the truth. (6) Be diligent in obedient. (7) Defend the faith even with your life. Hold fast the Lord’s coming is nearer now than ever before. No matter who stays or backslides just make up your mind nothing shall separate me from the love of Christ.
