STEPPING STONES NURSERY JANUARY 2015 NEWSLETTER Welcome back after the Christmas break and hope you all had a good holiday. We would like to welcome the new children and their families into the nursery and hope they enjoy their time with us. We would like to welcome our new cook Suzanne into the nursery as Kirsteen is now working alongside Louise, Demi Jo and Michelle in the ante/pre school area. We would like to thank parents who bought raffles and donated to the Xmas hamper a total of £842 was raised from this which shall go towards the cost of the children’s Santa gifts. The children all had great fun at the party and we would like to thank the Buchanhaven Hearts for the lovely buffet they provided. We would also like to thank the Parent’s Forum for subsidising the cost of this as this reduced the cost for the children to attend the party. Registration dates for ante/pre school 2015-2016 has not yet been released by Aberdeenshire Council but as soon as we are informed it shall be posted on our Facebook page and displayed within the nursery notice boards. It is really important that if there have been any changes to your child’s personal or medical information could you please inform Carole Anne so these can be made on our records as it is really important that this information is kept up to date. Parent’s are reminded to clearly mark all their child’s belongings with their name as not to avoid confusion as some children have the same jackets, bags, packed lunches etc. Could we please remind parent’s that if you have to leave prams/buggies that these are easy foldable ones as the cloakroom is getting congested with these. Parents are reminded to check the information boards which are situated in each play area and in the cloakroom. Information is also posted on our Facebook page which is Stepping Stones Nurseries (Peterhead) Ltd. Could parents please ensure that your child has warm clothing and suitable attire for the cold weather as we are out in the garden and for walks. Parents are reminded that registration takes place at 9am and 1pm, please ensure your child is on time as lateness disrupts the routine of the playroom. If your child is going to be late for whatever reason we would appreciate a call to inform us of this. It is company policy that if your child has been sick they must not attend nursery and can only return 48 hours after the last case of vomiting, please refer to our infectious control policy and the exclusion period for infectious illnesses posted on the cloakroom wall.
