STEVE SNOWCAST: WERE SO CONFUSED!!!! (Which should come as absolutely no surprise to anyone!) Last week it was looking like by the end of this week STEVE Nation would comfortably have 2 feet of snow on the ground from 3 separate storms. One of those storms is gone, one will be nothing but rain, one is playing Sybil changing daily what shes gonna do, and now a new one appeared yesterday out of nowhere for Monday. Heres what we CAN tell you. After tomorrow, clouds with some form of wet falling from the sky could be expected every day for the next 8 except Thursday. And high temps will bounce from the low 30s to the high 50s daily like a paddle ball on steroids! If and when the wet meets the bottom bounce of the paddle ball, we could see some good snow!!! But reality is most of what well see this week could be creepy icy mixes. Or, frankly, all of it could be rain!!!! Best Guesses? Sunny Super Sunday, Mixey Monday, Icy Tuesday, Rainy Wednesday, Sunny Thursday, Rainy/Snowy/Mixey/sleety/slimy Friday Saturday and Sunday. (Told you one of these was like Sybil) Someone should post that on their fridge and let us know how we did at the end of the week! BTW - we will call next weekend Sybil... Sybil still is the best chance weve seen for the Big Un this winter. More on Sybil later! And of course, based on recent track records, schools will probably be adjusted most of the week through... say... May. First things first - Mixey Monday. For about 10 minutes yesterday, Monday looked like a happy surprise snowstorm. 4-8 for STEVE Nation! And yes, somewhere in Virginia will get that much. But that will be 100 miles north of 460, now. (Of course, we could just move 460 100 miles North) This could change, this ones still telling its tales, but right now it looks to be a slippery mix from Roanoke to Lynchburg throughout the day, maybe and inch of slush by the end. Ick!!! More on the rest of the week later. And keep in mind that overweight myopic rat tells his tale in Punxsutawney tomorrow! We could have six more week of this snowless frigid winter! (That fat rat better not see his shadow, or STEVEs thinking Groundhog Stew for Super Sunday Dinner!) Gorgeous couple of days before it all starts, Open the windows! Get out and enjoy!!!
