STEVE WEDNESDAY SNOWCAST - Have you been standing, turning and spitting today? I can tell you have! The snow gods continue to be pleased! Yes, we will see some snow this weekend!!!! But, of course, your next question will be... So how much am I getting in my back yard, STEVE? Well, if you live in that snow hole that is Bedford, you already know that the answer is NONE... For everyone else in STEVE Nation, the answer is a tiny bit more complicated... First off, this afternoons models are about as all-over-the-place and scatterbrained as the contestants on the Bachelor! (Well, except for Tracy, think shes kind of cute, seems intelligent too... she is an Elementary school teach, you know). Ooops... sorry... mind wandered for a moment... Back to the weather models... Any way , if you look at them all individually, one of them says mostly rain... one says we may be in for a little bit of snow along with a huge ice storm, one says snow changing to rain changing back to snow.... one says a foot, yes, a foot of snow... one says the Patriots deflated the balls on purpose, and one says sunshine and 85 on Saturday. (well, we may have stretched one of those a bit) So STEVE, you still havent answered the question. How much snow in my backyard? Imagine that, a non-answer answer on snow totals from someone proclaiming meteorological intelligence. Frankly any answer we give at 5pm this evening is as likely to be wrong as Jennifer Aniston not getting the Oscar nomination... but here goes... 2-4 inches mixed with rain in and around Roanoke... a little less toward Lynchburg. But we all should see some accumulating snow by Saturday afternoon. BUT - do not be surprised if we turn around tomorrow morning and tell you that the previously mentioned foot is possible! (Assuming you continue to stand, turn, and spit!) And keep in mind... Saturday is not the prize! Theres still that Tuesday storm we mentioned yesterday that may still be lurking in our future!
