STILL LOOKING! Busy family yard near Newbury, Berkshire has a vacancy for a full-time live-in sole-charge yard manager / experienced groom. To care for three quality horses and three ponies. All normal yard duties, plus exercising – lungeing and riding, so competent rider preferred but non-rider also considered. Riding could include hacking, schooling, jumping and competing (BSJA) for the right person as well as assisting in starting young horses. This is a sole-charge position – so applicants must be happy working alone at times. Applicants must be happy working with well-behaved children and able to assist with the odd school run or babysitting duty. HGV licence a bonus! Five day week including some weekends. Top wage for the right person. On-site self-contained accommodation provided. Unfortunately no room for a horse, but well-behaved pet welcome.
