STOKE City striker Peter Crouch was today due to cut the ribbon at the opening of a schools new £32 million building. The former England ace will also host a question and answer session with pupils at St Peters Academy in Fenton, pictured. Crouch will arrive at 1.15pm for a tour of the building, where children have been based since September. The academy replaced Berry Hill High School, in Bucknall, and St Peters High School, in Penkhull. Ruth Rosenau, Stoke-on-Trent City Councils cabinet member for regeneration, planning and transportation said: This is an outstanding school which is already transforming the lives of all the young people who attend it.(J)
