STONES, BONES AND LOVING STONEHENGE Continuing our schools visit theme this week.... In a recent Stones and Bones discovery visit we had education volunteers from English Heritage and The National Trust working together to deliver a really fantastic schools workshop. Children were given the opportunity to explore Stonehenge and its surrounding ancient landscape. They discovered what people were doing during the time of Stonehenge and after it was built. They even got to recreate a bronze age burial! ‘We thoroughly enjoyed our session...pupils and staff! Volunteers Sonia, Margaret and Christine all responded well to the individual needs of our students who loved chatting to them. They gave us plenty of time to take photographs and the pupils sensed that our leaders loved Stonehenge. This was a very important!! “It really was a fantastic workshop! We all came away having not only having had a GREAT day but also a day in which my students with very special and complex needs had felt welcome and at home in a friendly learning environment. In their own way each student learnt a lot!” Find out more or send the link to your kids’ teachers for them to find out about the Schools Discovery Visits available at Stonehenge! ow.ly/yHsNt
